The one thing that is big on Fires of War is battles. They are fairly straight foreword in how they're conducted.
There will be large battles put together by the staff as something fun for everyone, and there will also be invasion battles done by rulers.
The invasion battles are what I'm going to explain.
First thing is, a ruler can only attack twice a month, on any province that borders his own. Now, to attack somewhere, a PM must be sent to me giving these details.
-Where you want to attack.
-How many troops are you bringing. (Not including personal troops)
-What officers of your force will participate.
On the day the PM is sent, the battle will be announced and will take place a week from the announcement. This is to give the ones defending a chance to make preparations for the attack, whether it's making their walls thicker, or laying traps in the field, etc.
They will also have to give a PM stating
-How many troops they will have.
-Which officers of their force will be participating.
Once the battle starts, a battle mod will open it with a post laid out like so:
Title of Battle
- Picture of a map of the battlefield
- Attacking Forces Troops
- Defending Forces Troops
- Attacking Officers
- Defending Officers
- Posting Order*
*An example of this would be:
Posting Order
- Name of Attacking Officer
- Name of Defending Officer
- Name of Attacking Officer
- Battle Mod (Giving Results)
And so on. Each time someone posts, the person following them has 24 hours to make a post, otherwise their turn is skipped over.
If there are any new officers joining in the battle, a PM from the ruler of what side they are on, is to be sent to the battle mod, so they can add them to the posting order.
A large site battle will be set up for everyone to take part in, so you can have another example to see how it works.
