I'm up. And we'll make this interesting with a trivial sum. Say, fifty gold?

I'll agree if you increase the wager to 100 gold, what do you say? Eh Yuki? Face an expert for 50 or a novice for 100?

(Sure, sounds good Asato. Prepare to hand over that gold.)
A neighing could be heard across the field, the rider calm and composed his spear held lightly at his side. Urging his steed onward, he noticed something off in the distance... perhaps it was another rider.
Spurring her on, she ran a little faster, her white mane and tail billowing from the movement. Soon he slowed down though, waiting for the other rider to come to him.

(Fine by me. And I'll match your pot, Scholar)
Asato sat on his horse. A servant of his stood beside the horse, holding a tray of warm rice wine, and Asato sipped from his cup. Out by a distance, he saw a rider approach at a full gallop, his spurts of dust giving his speed away, as well as making him quite noticeable.
From a second servant he took up his naginata, replaced the cup in the tray after draining it of its contents, and spurred his own horse on.

You'll all have to follow a posting order. It goes
Sanada Yukimura, Asato Kagesu, Kakizaki Suehiro.

Suehiro arrived after leaving the inn a ways back. He has traveled across what seemed to be farmland, or flat fields. From here he notices a few strange faces, a few friendly ones as well. He is carrying his Katana close at hand.

Two riders... Should be intersting.
Turning his horse to the one from the south, the direction of the village where the inn was, he gripped his spear tighter and set off at a gallop. Getting closer he could see the man had katana out. Carry a spear around was one thing, carrying the naked blade of a sword would me he had ill intentions.
Stopping his horse, and facing sideways he turned in the saddle and called out to him,
"Hold! Do you come with ill intentions?"
(Asato Kagesu, your move.)

Asato turned his steed slightly as Sanada rode ahead then halted. He didn't care much for this interloper's reasons for being on the field. Instead, he knew merely that he was there, and thus was a second threat to keep aware of. Asato rode to within a hundred metres of the men and, pointing his naginata at them both, shouted.
"You come to bare steel and shed blood. And so it shall be bared and shed!" Asato couched his naginata and awaited a reply.

Suehiro was somewhat confused by these two men on their steeds. He simply carries around his Katana for protection against harmful raids. But his own sense of right and wrong tells him that these men will not believe him unless he can beat them in combat. Or avoid it entirely. But on straw sandals he could not outrun either of their steeds. Also the fact that they had their own weapons made him suspicious of their motives. "What does an armed man do other than protect himself? You on the other hand have swarmed around me like locusts to the harvests. You must be bandits, or men of poor character to jump to such a conclusion. Those types of men must be rectified!"

"Bandits? Since when does one carrying a naked blade have the audacity to call someone else a bandit. You have a good disguise, but it ends here!"
Turning to Asato, he pointed his yari at him and then said,
"And as for you, it will be your blood that covers the ground today."
There was less distance to close between the man on foot, and him, so charging his steed, he passed to the left of Suehiro, and made a quick thrust at his throat. Continueing on, he moved past the man and after a distance, he wheeled around. There was no doubt he would move to attack, and the fighter on the other horse was most likely to come and attack him as well. So he waited for them.

Asato grinned and pulled down the faceplate of his helmet. Staring through the slits cut in the demon's visage for his sight, he galloped at the pair of warriors, passing on the left side of the footman. As he came within a metre of him, the naginata was thrust out with speed at the Suehiro's legs. When the horse passed, he vaulted from his horse, who rode off, riderless, towards the inn.
