"You're quite reliable for someone who has only just joined a lord."
Tsunayoshi tightened the cords around his armor and unsheathed his nagamaki. He pointed it right at Tadakatsu, inviting an attack. Then, he formed up, holding the nagamaki at an upward angle, as you would with a katana, and spacing his legs wide.
"I'll invite you for the first move."

Tadakatsu looks to the sky and feels a cool breeze rush through. This will truly be a battle for the ages, or so he hoped.
Taking his stance of his legs slightly farther than shoulder length apart, giving him balance and speed. Standing to his side not squared off With his Tanbogiri facing his opponent. The blade slightly elevated above his shoulders. Began his attack...
Moving carefully forward Tadakatsu made a short swift thrust at his opponents Stomach. His attack had no real power behind it. More of a setup manouver. Easy to recover from if this attack fails.

Tsunayoshi quickly kicked off with his left foot, putting all of his weight into his right leg and leaning himself forward. The momentum quickly turned Tsunayoshi and brought himself into a tight arc, his nagamaki following closely behind in a similarly tight turn, decreasing its distance between it and Tadakatsu. Tsunayoshi would hold it as if going for a slash, but at the last second before it struck Tadakatsu's chest, he would turn it and hit Tadakatsu with the flat side of his blade.

With his chestplate absorbing nearly all of the minor force from the contact of his opponents blade Tadakatsu stood firm. Quickly jumping to his left forcing his opponents blade off his chest Tadakatsu made a powerful shoulder high swipe aiming for his opponents right shoulder.
If this man wanted to insult his lord. He would pay the price of an arm!

Tsunayoshi's eyes darted to left. There wasn't any time to react. Tsunayoshi tried to move his sword up to block the blow, but it wasn't enough. The blade was knocked away and the blow had followed up into his shoulder. Tsunayoshi knew he was bested.
"It's your win. I don't have your name yet, but your fight was far better than mine. I commend you."

Slightly smiling Tadakatsu bent down, picked up a sharp rock and carved another notch in his spear.
The name is Honda Tadakatsu. If you'll excuse me I'm going to join my Lord at the Inn.
Tadakatsu left the field and made way for the short walk to the Inn.

Tsunayoshi bowed and walked away, trying to find his steed. It was a decisive loss...he could have gone on in his condition, but even if he did, it was clear he was outmatched. Tsunayoshi felt around the sack hanging by the saddle and found some gauze and rope. Tsunayoshi removed that section of armor, assured himself that it wasn't much more than a flesh wound, and tied on the gauze. Then, he rode back to the Inn, somewhat disappointed at his defeat.
