Background: Born into a prestigious samurai family, Masaki was trained from birth to be the ultimate warrior. His talents soared as a child, and he got used to the way of Bushido early, killing his first man in a duel at the age of twelve. However, he had a few noted weaknesses, such as archery and not knowing a good time to run away. He made up for these weaknesses by excelling in close range combat, especially with the sword and the kanabo. Soon, he developed into a full fledged samurai. However, Masaki did not feel truly ready to serve a daimyo. He felt he had much to learn. Setting out on the road, he became a wandering ronin, searching to improve his skills and to test his mettle.
While on the road, Masaki faced many hardships, such as money, climate, and bandits. However, he never once ran back home; to do so after setting out would be a disgrace to his family name, and no true man ever backed down from a challenge. He began working as a hired sword, lending his skills to villages plagued by bandits. It was not long before his name become known among the people, as well as by several daimyo across the land. Many seek him, but none so far have caught his eye. To this day, Masaki still wanders the land as a ronin, seeking a worthy lord to call his master.[/ul][/blockquote]
