Here is where you will create your NPC, to serve as a general, bodyguard, tactician, etc. Follow this simple form to create them.
Officers have one NPC, Rulers have three. So Faction Leaders, repeat this form three times.
Name: [Your NPC's name]
Age: [Your NPC's age.]
Sex: [Your NPC's gender.]
Appearance: [What your NPC looks like.]
Weapon 1: [Describe your NPC's melee weapon.]
Weapon 2: [Describe your NPC's ranged weapon.]
Personality: [Describe your NPC acts.]
Notice:You can only have one historical NPC, and if someone asks to play as them, you must give them up. All other NPCs for rulers must be created.

Name: Oukan Takara
Age: 15
Sex: Female
Appearance: Short and beautiful a typical Japanese girl of slender build
Weapon 1: A knife which is kept in her shoe
Weapon 2: N.A.
Personality: She's the wife of Saku and extremely loyal to him. She was born into a poorer family and is a pious Christian, they married just before his rise to fame. Despite being a craver of adventure (which is why she accompanies him on campaign) she is a pacifist so only has one close range weapon which she'd use only in protection of herself or Saku. However she's never used her weapons and hopes never too. She is Saku's closest confident who trusts her completely and she is able to give him a spiritural gauge on his actions even if shes not much use on the battlefield! She's his advisor on all things non-military and can be seen as a bodyguard when not in battle as thats the only time she leaves his side! Name: Shima Kanaye
Age: 23
Sex: Male
Appearance: Massive is the only way to describe him. Tall and extremely muscled he has haughty but good looking features with vivid black hair.
Weapon 1: Bow
Weapon 2: Katana
Horse
Personality: His very well born and a distant relation to Shima Sakon, he is a fantastic warrior and he knows it. An expert in the way of Yabusame he is also extremely pious Christian but is arrogant and intollerant to others views and feels he always knows best. Something that often leads to conflict with Saku who he feels no special alleigence too and is only with him because he is a man of God. His steed is of the finest quality yet he is only below average as a commander and is an awful politician.
(He won't join Saku untill after the great battle and when he does his main use will be leading the Van-guard and he will hold the loyalty of a great deal of the horsemen whom he will bring to Saku's banner I.E. the men I spend my 1000 gold on after the battle!). Name: Yori
Age: 18
Sex: Male
Appearance: Tall but slim, no matter how much he exercises he can't put on weight and muscle doesn't show on his body. Relatively good looking with long hair.
Weapon 1: Spear
Weapon 2: Bow
Personality: A close friend of Saku since he was a small child he joined the army the same time as him. Despite not being a Christian he is fiercely loyal to Saku and whatever his cause is. He also has a strong moral code which on occasions clashes with Saku's beliefs. However they have an unusual understanding (unusual for Saku anyway!) of each others views and tolerate each others opinions and decisions. He doesn't have a family name as he is of a lower class and he is in strong competetion with Shima Kanaye who he has little respect for. He is a better commander then Saku (something Saku wouldn't EVER agree with and so wisely keeps his mouth shut about it) however his not a great politician. He understands the game but feels disdain for it and avoids it where possible but is a good adminstrator. His Saku's second in command and will probably be used to look after his land while his out campaigning or to lead independant strikes.

Name: Yori

It doesn't translate well into the RP, so could you please choose different weapons? And Kent, yours looks good, but could you change Ginchiyo's second weapon to a ranged one, or a sword? It's kind of hard to actually use two long weapons like that.

Name: Hojo Tsunayoshi
Age: 48
Sex: Male
Appearance: A man of confidence, he shows it in his dress. A black Hojo kamon is prominently displayed on his pale yellow kimono. Tsunashige sports a small beard and is well-groomed.
Weapon 1: Nagamaki, a long handled katana
Weapon 2: Katana
Steed: Kanchi
Backstory: Tsunayoshi was adopted from the Imagawa as a son of Ujitsuna early in Ujiyasu's childhood. The two boys were of equal age and so a rivalry quickly sprung between the two, with the brothers frequently coming to blows. Ujitsuna encouraged the rivalry between the two, hoping that it would encourage a stronger bond between the two.
In the campaigns against the Uesugi, Ujitsuna placed Tsunayoshi and Ujiyasu in co-command of the defense of Kawagoe castle. The Uesugi assaulted the castle with a 50'000 strong army against the Hojo forces of 10'000. Both brothers argued over the best plan of defense and finally agreed to split the garrison in two.
Later that night, Tsunayoshi launched a daring night raid against the Uesugi army, attacking the center of the Uesugi lines, weary from the day's work. The attack was initially successful, but soon the Uesugi lines reformed and began to surround Tsunayoshi's forces. Tsunayoshi himself was in grave danger, having been caught off guard by two samurai seeking his head.
Suddenly, a second sally from the castle caught the Uesugi lines off guard and Ujiyasu himself rode to the front, striking down one of Tsunayoshi's assailants so Tsunayoshi could strike down the other. Reinforced by Ujiyasu's personal cavalry, the two were able to strike the heart of the Uesugi lines and slay the commander. The Uesugi lines crumbled and broke ranks and the day was won by the Hojo.
Since this battle and Ujiyasu's subsequent rise as the 3rd generation Hojo daimyo, Tsunayoshi has shown nothing but undying loyalty to Ujiyasu. Their bond, tempered by war, runs thicker than blood.
Personality:Tsunayoshi is a cynical and pessimistic man, not prone to curtsies and niceties, but rather frank. This sometimes comes across as brash and arrogant, but Tsunashige brushes it off without much thought; he is a man of perception and professionalism and walks with an air of deliberation. Tsunayoshi follows a strict code that has loyalty to his clan and brother above all else and would defy any order and anyone that would break it.

Name: Hojo Tsunashige Age: 48 Sex: Male Appearance: Weapon 1: Nagamaki, a long handled katana Weapon 2: Katana Steed: Kanchi Personality: Tsunashige is the adopted brother of Ujiyasu, but both have been tested in battle, and their bond is thicker than blood, forged in the fires of war. Tsunashige is a cynical and pessimistic man, not prone to curtsies and niceties, but rather frank. This sometimes comes across as brash and arrogant, but Tsunashige is a man of perception and professionalism. Looks good, I'll allow you to keep him, even though he's a historical character. Unless someone asks to play as him, then you'll have to change his name.

That just leaves me... Hm... So we can have historical NPCs as long as no one wants to use them, or no a one time only exception for wassup, like sparking's character being a foreigner?

You can use them until someone wants to play as them. Try to pick someone unknown or not popular for that purpose.

I can feel me losing my main NPC within the start of this on a grand scale. Hojo Soun of the morning cloudsAge: 46 Sex: Male Appearance: Like that of a general, being exposed to war while his family was carving out it's region he made a grand exodus to Sado. Weapon: Precious Katana Weapon: Bow of Yoichi Personality: Calm, analytical, cool, and collected. He is one of the few who has been around long in the chaos [Now I have two... I have no idea what I am going to do... Also Soun is older than Ujiyasa, older than Ujimasa. He was still around during the Onin Wars he would be dead for about 20 years, but most characters that appear at Sekigahara were not even born yet till 25 years. If I must I'll call him Ise Shinkurō]

Scholar, Must you use the family name Hojo? Anyway, here is my first NPC.
Name: Kojuro Tanaka (Answers to Tanaka-san)
Age: 42
Sex: Male
Appearance: Tanaka is almost two metres tall and has a very muscular build. His face is grizzled and scarred and his hair is unshaven, though he does have a short beard and moustache. He wears his battle armour at all times, except when engaging in a tea ceremony or practising the art of Kyujutsu with Hasshi, where he wears a humble white kimono.
Weapon 1: Nodachi Katana
Weapon 2: Yumi Bow Backstory: Born into a poor family in Satsuma on the island of Kyushu, Tanaka served the first twenty years of his life in the service of the Shimazu clan as a Battle-Hardened Samurai. His mastery of the Nodachi earned him much respect from the clan heads and ashigaru alike, and he soon became known as a hardened warrior and commandant, instructing the Ashigaru in the ways of the sword and occasionally, the yari spear as well.
At the age of Twenty-five however, Tanaka's life changed forever. He came into contact with Jesuit Misisonaries under the tutalege of Francisco Xavier while on a mission on the Satsuma-Hyuga border and was facinated by them immediately. He attended a sermon later that day, before heading out to a border village that was being harrassed by bandits. His army was ambushed from behind, and Tanaka, while he fought valiantly, was captured.
As he would later find out, Tanaka had many enemies in the Shimazu clan, who were jealous of having a samurai of his skill and his common background as an equal or even higher social standing then some of the more Aristocratic Shimazu vassals. The bandit attack was actually a ploy to discredit Tanaka in the eyes of the Shimazu heads, and when he eventually escaped and returned to his lord, he was greeted with the points of 100 yari, arrested and thrown into jail, being stripped of all his ranks and titles.
Tanaka soon realised what was going on, and launched a daring escape, deciding that he'd rather take his chances on the open sea rather than stay in Satsuma. With only his trusty Nodachi to keep him company, Tanaka stole a nearby fisherman's Kansen and fled to the west, hoping to reach the Portuguese enclave of Macau.
The seas were stormy the night of his escape, with torrential rain pelting down on his boat, and the relentless waves mean't he couldn't even rest for a second. Being an unexperienced sailor, Tanaka thought that he was certainly going to die, and made a silent pact with the Christian God, that if he lived throught this storm, he would be his forever.
He awoke on the islands of Ryukyu the next day, remembering little of what happened that stormy night. a local fisherman told him how they found him floating out in the open sea, and that he had been unconscious for 48 hours, he was kept afloat only by a piece of wood which he had by chance, held onto despite the storm. Considering his survival to be a miracle, Tanaka remained a devout Christian ever since. he made his way to Shuri where his skills with the nodachi impressed King Ei, and he was given the job of training his son tai in the ways of the Sword, and in teaching the Royal family Japanese. He formed a special bond with Kan, and ultimately blamed Tai and Ei for his suicide, leading him to join Hasshi's faction, becoming a major part of his rebellion and subsequent exodus to Japan.
He currently serves Hasshi in the office of a Bodyguard, although not intellectually bright, he carries with him the wisdom of war, and his Anti-Shinto/Buddhist/Animist views are very much respected by Hasshi. As a side note, Tanaka is currently learning how to use a Yumi Bow, with Hasshi being his personal instructor in exchange for his loyal service as his bodyguard and a Commandant to his Sword and Spear troops.
Personality: Tanaka has the composure of a hardened warrior, a man who is willing to and has on many occasions gone above the call of duty on the battlefield. His absolute loyalty to his lord (Hasshi) is enhanced by his Devout Christian faith, and despite being betrayed twice in his life, feels no ill will towards his betrayers, nor does he fear Hasshi will betray him. While not terribly social or intelligent, Tanaka does have some knowledge of the Tea Ceremony, and is often seen drinking tea with his master, discussing the finer points of Ken and Kyujutsu.

Scholar, Must you use the family name Hojo? How else could I use Hojo Ujinao? I mean I could make Nobunaga Oda, Nobunaga Ota, but it would defeat the purpose of having Nobunaga Oda.
