"Such strong words my Honda. If you wish to fight off this insolence then I would most appreciate it"
Suehiro offers him a cup of sake before he they start fighting. Ignoring the man.
"Noble men may pity their souls But their utter way of disregard Earns them their demise"

Keeping one eye on his challanger Tadakatsu bowed to his lord.
This fight I take seriously, no alcohol.
I saw a field some short ways away from the Inn. Let us go there.
Tadakatsu then proceeded to walk outside the Inn towards the open field.
After yet another brief encounter Tadakatsu rejoined his newfound Lord
As you can see my Lord, your in safe hands. Now, shall we plan?
Tadakatsu then took the sip of wine that was before offered.

'Ah, My Honda. With you at my side we shall settle all the lands and restore good and just government.'
this was his 7th swig of sake. Suehiro is obviously getting a little tipsy. He will be heading up to his room in a little while.
"Wonders will never cease To amaze these old eyes What a wondrous time Like this cup of Sake"

Tadakatsu smiled, his lord had missed his point.
Great... But where do you suggest we start?

*One day after the duel and Tea Room conversation, Hasshi and Tanaka walk into the Sakura Inn, sit down at a table near the centre and order a round of tea, their eyes are cast around the establishment, searching for any man of worth they may find; Their army could use a retainer...*

'We invade Echigo my friend. From there we head north to Mutsu and south to Shinano. Then Japan has a stabilizing force so that it could be settled. '
After those few words Suehiro headed off to bed. He left behind the room number of Tadakatsu's room so that he too could get some sleep.

Hideaki sat there brooding quietly for quite some time, all of his enthusiasm for travel having been cut away by a single remark. The bartender had brought up an old dilemma, one that was familiar to Kobayakawa. Familiar as a childhood friend... or enemy.
The question was always the same - was he honourless, or was he merely pragmatic? Hideaki should by rights have killed himself already, but something had compelled him to refuse, to take another path. ... Was that wrong of him? Hideaki disliked the idea that he should feel obliged to commit seppuku. After all, that only accomplished the death of many rather than the death of one. It was far better to continue onwards.
...At least, that was what he always told himself. It seemed that every day, he received evidence both for and against his view.
Hideaki was drawn from his thoughts as he observed two men entering the inn. One of them appeared somewhat noble, and this piqued Kobayakawa's interest. Could it be that even daimyo frequented the Cherry Blossom inn? It was not that much of silly concept. After all, the building was situated on a busy road of Japan.
Although Hideaki didn't move from his seat, he continued to glance at the two men every now and then, to see if he could discern who they were from appearances. He hoped they wouldn't catch him staring... that would seem rude.
Now... just who are you?

"A fight, Tsunayoshi?" "Of course." "You lost this time?" "There will always be those sorts of occasions."
Ujiyasu glanced over to his brother and tried to look for some telltale signs. Tsunayoshi carried himself as a consummate professional, and for the most part, he lived up to that. However, Tsunayoshi had a weak spot when it came to personal pride; Tsunayoshi would try his hardest to stomach down his defeat, but it would leave him with a churning feeling for a while. Ujiyasu knew him too well, after years of brotherhood. Ujiyasu smiled to himself when he saw it. Tsunayoshi's jaw was clenched tight, his breaths were deeper (to try and calm that churning feeling, Ujiyasu supposed), and his eyes stared off into nothing. Ujiyasu gave Tsunayoshi a pat on the shoulder and directed him to the table. A light meal was set out, consiting of a simple bowl of rice and a small fish. Then, Ujiyasu dismissed the guards from their posts for the moment.
"Ujiyasu, what has this contact offered you..." Tsunayoshi twisted a section of fish off and brought it to his mouth. "...to necessitate this wait?" "His service, Tsunayoshi. In these times of uncertainty, every man counts." "And I suppose he has great skill, to merit a personal meeting" "I would assume so." Ujiyasu signaled for a servant to pour the both of them a cup of tea and set out the sweets. "At the very least, my hopes lie in that." "Is that wise, brother?"
Ujiyasu hesitated. His stay here made him look desperate...and he was. The legacy of his two predecessors was nothing to scoff at. The burden of the clan's continued existence had fallen on Ujiyasu, and Ujiyasu was unsure of whether or not he would be able to shoulder it. Stability was a bygone dream, wars threatened to break, and battle would become a norm of the day. It was what his father and grandfather had faced, and surely, they would be known to history for it. But, they were men of ability and skill, veterans of battle and of diplomacy. Again, the question popped into Ujiyasu's mind. Would be be good enough to survive? Would his clan be able to carve out a niche in the world? Would they [iwin[/i]? Ujiyasu tried to shove these to the side and attempted to give the most truthful answer he could.
"...I'm not sure. Enjoy your tea, Tsunayoshi, and speak no more of politics."

Oukan Saku and Yuki enter the Inn after a long day on the road. Saku's refusal to ride meant they had to walk the whole way and they are tired. Saku sits down on a chair whilst Yuki buys him a drink. Just time for one before I turn in for the night thought Saku.

"I'm not asking much. Simply whether or not this stay has its benefits." "It's not your concern." "I questioned father in the same way. We both did." Tsunayoshi picked up one of the sweets before pointing at Ujiyasu and continuing. "Moreoever, I am your brother and your commander."
Ujiyasu didn't immediately answer, Tsunayoshi decided against continuing until he recieved one. A grim silence landed itself in that room, as it always does when difficult questions are raised. Tsunayoshi only asked about this one stay, but he knew that the question ran much deeper than this one visit to some inn. Tsunayoshi was asking, in effect, whether or not Ujiyasu could make the right decisions and stand by them.
Ujiyasu clenched his fingers and dropped his eyes into a narrow stare. Tsunayoshi recognized these as telltale signs that Ujiyasu was at least somewhat frustrated with this whole situation. It was understandable, Tsunayoshi supposed. Ujiyasu was the leader now. Surely he was being faced with the same challenges that their father and their father's father before him did. Ujiyasu looked down on the ground, thinking about how best to approach this. He grit his teeth together and continued.
"...What of it?" "I deem it enough of my personal concern to merit such questions." "Do you intentionally anger me?" Ujiyasu looked up at his brother and knew he would have to answer the question sometime. "No, and you know this yourself." Tsunayoshi sipped his tea while the sweetness hung on his tongue. "This is a question that must be confronted sooner or later. I would prefer 'sooner' rather than 'later'." "Tsunayoshi..." Ujiyasu sighed. "You never were one to skip around things." "No, I'm not." "Which is why you would never be a shrewd politician." "Answer the question, brother. Don't attempt to throw me off." "Then what do you want for me to say...what do you want?" Tsunayoshi remained quiet, prompting Ujiyasu to continue. "Tsunayoshi, you're not the one carrying this burden! What position are you in to have the right to judge me? I'm the one carrying on thI-! I..." Ujiyasu caught himself mid-sentence, and quieted. "...My apologies." "...It's alight. We'll drop this for now."

Hideaki watched the comings and goings of the inn for a while after the entrance of the well-dressed man and his companion. However, it became clear after a stretch of time that nothing of particular interest was going to happen.
Sighing, he got to his feet. He hadn't even requested a drink. He'd been too busy brooding, lost in his thoughts. Still, at least he and his mount had both had a chance to rest for a while, that was the important thing. Hideaki took one last glance around the room then slowly walked out, his exit unobserved by most.
Kobayakawa... one day, all of Japan will know that name, and have respect for the man who carries it.

Suehiro Kakizaki approached the Inn, he notices a man leave. He is of fierceness, and recognizes him from a few days before.
"Greetings, why do you leave the Inn so early?"

Hideaki stopped short on the way to his horse as a person addressed him unexpectedly. He glanced around and eyed the man who had spoken to him. His voice had been unfamiliar, and his face was much the same. It was a little odd for somebody to call a greeting out of the blue, and Hideaki was intruiged.
"Good day," Kobayakawa said with a polite nod. "I'm leaving because my business is done. I'm rested, as is my horse. That's all there is to it," Hideaki turned so that he was facing the man properly. "What about you? Either you're so incredibly friendly you greet random strangers, or you're after something. Which is it?"
Nobody ever called Hideaki a particularly open person. He tended to be suspicious, especially where it came to people 'spontaneously' deciding to say hello. There was always another motive.
Now... what's your game?

"I recognized who you were from a few nights ago. I believed that you were staying for quite a few nights. I just didn't understand why one would want to leave when the Sun is about to set in the West and bandits of all sorts will be prowling the crevices of the passes. Weather or not you wish to go back, I just thought to help out a man who I know. Hideaki was it not?"
Suehiro looked away from the man and looked at one of the freshly lit lanterns.
"This is a beautiful place, and quite a nice place to spend the night. If you want to go that's your business. I have no malicious intentions, but if you want to leave, then by all means leave. I won't stop you. But in this night with the presence in the capital on the verge of war, it will be safer, and much more enjoyable inside the Inn.

A lone samurai walked into the Sakura inn. Upon entering, he took in his surroundings, scanning the patrons of the inn. After a long days ride, he wanted nothing more than to sit down with a hot cup of tea and relax his weary bones. Sitting in the corner away from the ruckus of the more..."rowdy" patrons, he merely nodded quietly when the serving wench asked him if he would like any tea. War in the area was imminent...and he could smell it coming like the rain...he would have to find a lord worthy of him...but who to choose? He began to wonder if he would be approached with an offer...a smile began to creep across his lips...war was his life...he reflected upon his first taste of it...at the age of 13.
