*Exhausted from the duel which took place last night, Hasshi decided that he'd follow through with what he promised (OOC: or would have, if the Duel topic wasn't locked) and have a tea ceremony with the duel victor, One Kakizaki Suehiro*
*Hasshi returned to the Inn, leaving Tanaka behind and found an appropriate tea room, where he sat down on a fairly comfortable cushion, and began to meditate on what had happened that day as he waited for his former foe to arrive...*

nearly fully recovered from the night before, where he had sake, he entered the tea room to meet with the butterfly man. A little bewildered as to why he would want such a meeting but never the less diligent in meeting him. When he entered he saw the man whom he had just been fighting with sitting rather calm and motionless. He sat down directly opposite from him
"Hello, are you thinking something butterfly? Oh I'm terribly sorry, what is your real name?"

What may i ask, is yours sir?'

Seeing Shō stand to his feet in an instant he did as well. After returning the gesture
"My name is Kakizaki Suehiro, second head of the Kakizaki family. It is nice to finally call you by a real name other than butterfly. But you were graceful with that heavy poll so it was nevertheless a true statement"
Offering Shō to sit, he then watched a serving girl place a tea cups on the table. "What did you want to discuss Prince Shō?"

"What did you want to discuss Prince Shō?" 'Please, do not call me Prince, Hasshi will do fine' bowed Hasshi once again, before sitting down and having a cup of tea. 'My friend, i shall like to ask you what your ambitions are, from what i here this land is awash with turmoil, where neither the Sons of Heaven nor the Military Dictators have any real power, how does one such as yourself try to make a name for yourself in this situation?'

Sitting down he takes the cup of tea and sips it slowly.
"This land is at it's boiling point" placing the cup down gently "Soon the land will be ablaze with ambitious men, and the turmoil that comes inevitably from that" "The real power lies with the men who can control the turmoil. Which is far too difficult for any one man to do. It is difficult to understand but it is the truth Hasshi."
"I would stake my claim in the inevitable battle for the capital. From there as my reputation may grow I can use this to set off from Tokuyama to settle the regions ablaze. When you stabilize a region, the people will no longer be afraid for their lives and will rejoice in your name. Others will wish to join you so that it is easy to settle many more regions. Then when the stabilizing powers are set a name will be put in stone for all of history. After that it only matters if you can unite the factions to make a time of peace"
"Do you not agree?"

Seeing that this may be his chance to forge a name for himself in Japan, Hasshi was eager to know more about this unrest* 'I am quite intrigued, the capital is under threat? please forgive my ignorance on the subject but i am after all, a foreigner to your lands. if you may, can you tell me a little more about this upcoming battle?'

"The capital is divided into two main factions, though there are thousands of others with their own petty interests they can not compete with these two. Even if all combine they could not even delay one of their agendas. They simply exist because of their insignificance. The Yamana, a group with great power oppose a nearly equal power known as the Hosokawa. Each are lead by the clan heads. The Yamana however have a more peaceful agenda than that of the Hosokawa. They also openly ask for aid against them. They are the faction that will soon over power the Hosokawa. However the leaders of the Yamana can not hold back the malicious thoughts of their subordinates. Therefor they too are doomed.
Do you understand?"

"Well, the Hosokawa are the chief supporters of the Ashikaga shogunate. Their claim to power was when the Shogunate Yoshiharu Ashikaga wished to use his aid in establishing authority. However they use him as a puppet. The Yamana dislike the Hosokawa not only for their ruthlessness but for their mistreatment of the Shogun. But the Shogun has been essentially brainwashed into believing in the Hosokawa. So their must be an assent of a new Shogun for peace to truly happen. Weather it is his eldest son Yoshiteru, or a powerful man who can unite Japan is unknown.
Tell me more of your country and your being here Hasshi"

'As for my homeland, it is a beautiful place, with seas of coral and beautiful sunsets, we Ryukyuans are essentially... a people of the sea' *Hasshi, who was rather reluctant to talk of his family history, decided to deflect Suehiro's question with another one* 'Suehiro-san, you seem like a wise man, how do you believe we came to exist? Mankind, i mean'

Suehiro who was taking a sip from his tea pondered the question. "The Yamana is the right side to be on for the chaos to spread and for peace to rein." Suehiro peared into his cup of tea, watching the tea leaves float about in the stained water.
"I believe that the Emperor was the man that united us when we were savage people. But as to what was before that I believe that Bhudda went to heaven. So when he went to heaven as a destination he believed that he was simply returning there. So I believe that we as a people came from the heavens. Though that may seem silly I believe it more plausible than our ancestors climbing down trees"

"No, while I do think that being kind to others and being a decent person would allow for a decent life, and possibly allow me to go to heaven I do not follow the tenants. In fact I am anything but a follower of Buddha. I actually may identify myself with the funny speaking foreigners from afar. But would I consider myself one of them? no. But I can at least agree with many of them."
